WHAT IS BOTOX?

Botox is used to to ‘freeze’ muscles for a period of 3-6 months stopping the formation of harsh lines and wrinkles. Botox injections block the uptake of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine by the face muscle which relaxes the muscle action, and reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It also helps to prevent new signs of ageing from forming.
